Answer to the John Kerry Truth Test:

The day after Senator Kerry pledged to make his records available to
the press, The Boston Globe went to his campaign headquarters to
view the documents he referred to in this interview.  The reporter,
and all others who have tried to get access to Kerry's military
records, were rebuffed.  To this day, the only records that have made
public where the ones cherry-picked by Kerry himself and displayed
on his website.  Therefore, the first quote is not true.  (Ironically,
even some of these documents contradict Kerry's own claims about
his service in Vietnam.  Most notably Kerry's claim that on the day he
saved Jim Rassman's life, all the other boats fled the scene.
According to the documents posted on Kerry's own website, it was
John Kerry's boat that fled while all the others remained behind.)

However, in the second quote Kerry makes a blanket statement that
his records are not public.  Some had been made public.  So even in
the second instance, John Kerry exaggerated the case.  So in neither
case was Kerry really truthful.

When asked about these contradictions, the Kerry campaign explained
that what he meant -- and he’s been clear about this all along -- is that
he would only release his military records with the full support of our
friends and allies.
