Kennedy Receives E-mails of Support from
Mexican Citizens
by Corky Bean
CAPE COD - Spolitics.com has learned that after his speech on the
Senate floor, Senator Kennedy has received a flood of supportive e-
mails from Mexican citizens who said they appreciated his position
against building a wall along the U.S. border. The majority of e-mails
expressed gratitude towards what they saw as a statement of
solidarity between the senator and Mexicans who opposed a secure
border. Spolitics.com has managed to obtain two of the e-mails as
well as Senator Kennedy’s reply.

Subject: Wall is bad
Dear Sir Kennedy,
I no happy that senators vote to build fence on border. I am say this bad idea.
How you expect us to get into United States? I agree with you when you say that
building fence lead to death of many undocumented freedom finders. Like you say,
when California built a fence, it make us walk all the way round the fence and
many more work-seekers died while try to exercise their right to come to United
States in the middle of the night out in the desert far from any border guard. If
more border crosser die because of fence, how does that help illegal immigration? I
mean, this crazy. Next thing you know they will put fences up in other place that
we want to keep people from crossing like prisons. Fence in prison no stop
people from leaving, it just kills more that try to leave.
Sincerely,
W. E. Coyote

Your Excellency Kennedy,
I want to thank you for speaking out against building a wall along the U.S. Mexico
border. Given the high prices of gas, a wall that big will only make it more difficult
and expensive for us to ship our goods into your good country. And those
expenses will have to be passed on to the American consumers who wish to buy
our products. This is not good for the welfare of either nation. Keep up the good
fight, sir.
Sincerely yours,
Jose Cartel
