Obama Pledges to Do Something on Social Security

The problem is no one seems to have any idea what he plans to do — including his campaign. The man who once made fun of Hillary Clinton for saying she would appoint a bipartisan commission to work on the issue, is now promising nothing more than to say he’ll work out the details in a bipartisan fashion. The only thing we know for sure is that he wants to tax us more. How much more, or whether or not the increased taxes will apply to capital gains or lead to any more benefits — he’s saving that as a surprise.

Obama: Does the President Get to Tell the Troops What to Watch on TV?

In response to being asked if he had a chance to mix with the troops, Senator Obama expressed some concern that they get to watch Fox News. Apparently that’s something he’d like to change if he becomes Commander-in-Chief.

I guess the President doesn’t just set the mission, he also decides the TV programming. Expect Obama to issue a 16-month timetable to have Fox News “redeployed” from all U.S. bases.
