Gore Uses Convention Stage to Promote His Own Economic Interests

Gore used the majority of his convention speech to prattle on about the “climate crisis” — recycling the same old exaggerated claims that have been rejected by the scientists themselves. He then tied his case to Obama’s candidacy stating that we needed a President who would invest in alternative fuels (ignoring, of course, that he and Clinton failed to do the same during their tenure and that the “Cheney energy bill” was the largest investment in alt energy in history). What Gore left out of the equation is that he is heavily invested in alternative energy and would stand to gain handsomely by the increased investment for which he advocates.

With that in mind, Gore’s speech could be summarized thusly: “Hey, America, elect Barack Obama so he can make me rich.”
