A Roaring Reunion

Ross Douthat posted this over at Atlantic.com and it gave me a chuckle. However, to make it relevant to current events (rather than just a random diversion), allow me to offer it as a metaphor for the reunion between John McCain and the Republican base after he selected Sarah Palin to be his Veep.
