Obama Wants Major Redistibutive Change

An old Obama interview from 2001 has been making the rounds.

The good news: Obama appears to criticize the left for relying too much on the courts and activist judges to implement their agenda as opposed to grass roots efforts and the legislature (contrary to what the titles in the video allege).

The bad news: Obama wants to break free from the constraints on Government put in place by the founding fathers. He argues the problem with the Constitution is that it only protects Americans from the government, it doesn’t say what the government “must do on your behalf.” Apparently the solution is to remake the Constitution to empower the government to enact “major redistrubtive change.”

“Change” has been the theme of Obama’s candidacy. At least know we know what kind of change he’s talking about.
